No-exam life insurance
Who gets approved without a physical exam, what the fast-track process involves, and what happens if you need a traditional underwriting review.
Most insurers today provide accelerated underwriting: younger or lower-amount applicants with typical health profiles are approved via questionnaire data, medication history, driving records and background checks instead of a physical. Some carriers return decisions within hours. Our quotes show whether each product requires a physical, possibly requires one, or typically needs none.
What it changes
No exam doesn't mean no review. Your statements are cross-checked through databases and records, and any policy issued with false information can be challenged in its first two years. The carrier may still order tests if their data shows something unexpected; you then choose whether to proceed.
Who tends to qualify
Carriers most often fast-track younger applicants (typically under sixty), at coverage amounts within their limits, with no serious health issues and no tobacco use over the past year or more. If you've had recent bloodwork at a doctor's visit, some insurers will use those lab results instead of requiring a new physical.
If an exam is necessary, it's typically a thirty-minute appointment with a nurse or technician at your home or workplace in the Glendale region, free to you. For many applicants with good health, the results can actually qualify you for a better rate, so undergoing an exam can be a positive outcome.
